An ideal family villa in Crete - privacy, style and views

Villa Oceanus has been completed in a modern style throughout, with much thought put into making the most of outdoor living with large terraces and balconies on all sides.

A small inner hall leads into the spacious and comfortably furnished lounge/dining room. There is satellite TV and DVD to keep your evenings entertaining. Patio doors open straight out onto the sea facing veranda, which overlooks the pool and the lights of Souda flickering in the distance.

The dining kitchen is fully fitted with stylish wooden units and has a cooker, dishwasher and microwave; ideal for holiday dining. A door opens from the kitchen straight out to the front veranda giving easy access to al-fresco dining. On this ground floor level there is an air-conditioned twin bedroom with patio doors to its own terrace and a shower room with WC adjacent. Tucked away, there is also a washing machine for your convenience.

A marble fronted staircase leads up to the first floor and two further bedrooms. The master double bedroom has patio doors leading out to a large terrace overlooking the pool with wonderful views. The third bedroom is a pretty twin that has patio doors leading to its own balcony. The two upper floor bedrooms share a delightful family bathroom. The villa is fully air-conditioned.

Outside, the well furnished terraces are ideal for soaking up the sunshine on your Crete family holiday. The brick built barbeque and the 8 metre swimming pool mean that you can while away your days relaxing by the pool. The pool is accessed by built in circular steps into a shallow end, which is ideal for children. A special feature of the pool is its mosaic tiles in different shades of blue and green, which add a real touch of class.

The villa is accessed by a narrow lane and is surrounded by stonewalls to ensure maximum privacy. A pretty pergola frames the front door and as you enter into the living area of the bright and spacious Villa Oceanus, you cannot help but feel the stress of everyday life drift away.

Plaka, Chania, Crete

Located between the resorts of Plaka and the village of Kokkino Horio, just 35 minutes from Chania, Villa Oceanus is set in its own grounds in an elevated position overlooking the stunning Souda Bay. The beautiful bay of Souda is in fact the largest natural harbour in the Eastern Mediterranean. For those who prefer to see the rugged mountain countryside of Crete, with the opportunities for walking and exploring so righly popular in Crete, this begins just to the rear of Villa Oceanus.

There are two airports on Crete that are serviced by flights from the UK. Both airports suit our villas and apartments on Crete - please check within the descriptions for specific distances/transfer times to the property.

Heraklion Airport (Crete) - flights departing from Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Exeter, Gatwick, Glasgow, Humberside, Leeds Bradford, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Direct flights are also available to Crete from Dublin.

Chania Airport (Crete) - there are flights departing from Birmingham, Gatwick, Manchester and Newcastle on Tuesdays.

Daily flights to Crete are available from Athens Airport.

Knossos Palace (Sightseeing)

The palace of Knossos is a must see attraction of Crete, unfortunately in high season it can also be hot and crowded. So be sure to take a bottle of water in with you. The informative signs are good, however an informative guide really can make the resort come alive.
