A week's holiday in a Greek Island is cheaper than going to Brighton, according to a recent study into the cost of a family holiday.
The research carried out by Tesco Bank's Travel Money found the average price of a vacation in Limassol is £1,739, which is £460 cheaper than visiting Brighton.
Car hire, accommodation, meals out, entertainment and souvenirs for a family of four were all taken into account when compiling the results.
John Howells, head of Travel Money at Tesco Bank, said: "It is essential holidaymakers are not just looking into the cost of travel but also the expenses they are likely to incur once they are there."
He added that families who want a bargain break should look into the options available in order to get the best deal around.
Georgios Nikitiadis, tourism minister for Greece, recently told publication Deutsche Welle that the country had experienced a price drop of more than 20 per cent.
