Zanettos tavern has been highlighted as a top place to enjoy a meal while on holiday in Cyprus.
Based at Trikoupi Street 65 in Nicosia, the eatery is 72 years old and offers a range of simple, yet top-quality cuisine, the Famagusta Gazette reports.
According to the news provider, the establishment is a popular haunt of local artists and the walls are decorated with stars from the Greek film and music industry.
Those only interested in the food were told the restaurant does not have a menu, with customers instead served with a variety of Cypriot specialties.
These consist of a mix of cold starters such as green olives, tahini and yoghurt, as well as hot options including Cyprus sausage, pork marinated in wine and ravioli.
Simon Calder, travel editor of the Independent, recently advised vacationers to ask locals for information on the best places to visit when they are in a country.
