Things To Do (Published: 08 June 2010)
Fans of the likes of Astro Boy, Superman, Dick Tracy and the X Men might like to make sure they have booked flights to Greece this June as the International Babel Comics Festival is coming to the country.
Free to attend, the annual event - which, according to What's on When, proves tempting to lots of people each year - is being held at the Technopolis during this summer month, although graphic novels are not the only entertainment on the agenda.
Apparently, concerts, film screenings and street theatre are also included on the itinerary, with past exhibitions featuring rare originals from US artists such as Milton Caniff, Alex Raymond, Al Capp, Chester Gould and Winsor McCay.
However, those who do decide to attend may also find the Technopolis venue to be as interesting as the show it is hosting - the building itself is an industrial museum located in Athens's former gasworks, founded in 1857.
