One holidaymaker has explained how he likes the Greek island of Paros so much he has been returning annually for nearly 30 years.
German tourist Gerd Ammereller described how he enjoys visiting the same destination each year and the particular reason is for the hotel, GPB News reports.
He said: "It's a little bit like coming home. And they are so friendly and treat us so kindly and it was a special Greek family atmosphere and that's what we love."
Mr Ammereller and his wife stay in the same family-run lodging each May and said they would continue to visit despite recent reports about the country's hardship.
The social workers from Bochum, first experienced the island in the 1970s and this year decided to discover some history, with a tour of the newly opened Acropolis Museum in Athens.
A recent survey found that Serbian nationals would prefer to vacation in Greece over anywhere else, believing it to be safe and inexpensive, the Athens News Agency reported.
